Hugo Pimentel

Born in Salvador, Brazil, Hugo Pimentel started studying Classical Dance at the age of 17. This led him to complete a degree in Dance at the Bahia State Federal University. Throughout his studies, he had the opportunity to participate in various dance projects involving different styles such as afro, jazz and contemporary.

Hugo then started working on various cruise ships as a dancer with MSC and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines in South America, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. This allowed him to explore many different styles such as ballet, jazz, musical, street dance and ballroom dance. After moving to Quebec in 2018, Hugo joined Les Ballets Ouest de Montreal and danced on their latest productions: the Nutcracker and Ella. He also performed for the Vue sur la Relève Festival with La Compagnie Pauline Berndsen. During summer 2019, he danced in François Girard’s production of The Flying Dutchman for the Quebec Opera Festival.
