An independent performer, Janie is invited to perform in various projects including the one to dance George Balanchine’s play “Walpurgisnacht” with Avant Chamber Ballet in Dallas in April 2017. In January 2016, she joins the company Cas Public directed by Hélène Blackburn for the production of Dramatic Symphony where she realizes a dream, that of dancing at the Paris Opera. In the same year, she has a first experience in cinema in Xavier Dolan’s first English-language film “The death and life of Jonh F. Donovan”. In 2015, she was invited as principal dancer on the show of the Syracuse City Ballet Company in New York. Last summer, she participated in the opening issue of the gala of Patrice L’écuyer under the artistic director of Geneviève Dorion-Coupal. She has also been principal dancer for the Ballet Ouest de Montréal company since 2013 and dances the productions of Couples, Nutcracker and Pinocchio. From 2010 to 2013, she is a soloist for the Atlantic Ballet Theater of Canada in New Brunswick. She participated in the production of Nutcracker with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in 2009 and 2008, as well as a season with Pro Arte Danza in Toronto. In addition, she danced for the Gran Canaria Ballet in Spain in 2008. She was also invited as a dancer for a special issue on the Radio-Canada Match of Stars program and for television advertising. of JC Perrault.
In 2017, she will be choreographing more than 15 unique pieces in several dance schools across the province. In March 2016, she created her first professional piece entitled “L’inverno” for the company. This play will be presented for 2 consecutive years throughout the United States, also chosen by Cirque Eloize for the 375th Montreal festivities and as a complete set for the Kittiwake Dance Theater in Newfoundland.
Since 2010, she has shared her passion teaching, choreographing and judging various dance competitions (Idance, Reprezent, Bravissimo, DanceQuest etc.) throughout Quebec, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and even the United States. His students of all ages and levels appreciate his talent and his young and dynamic approach.
