Born and raised in Montreal, Miranda began her path as a young competitive gymnast for Pierrefonds Dynamics at the age of 7. During this time she was also introduced to dance. She first started with Ballet, Jazz and Tap classes; as she aged she took additional classes in Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Contemporary. By the age of 12, she began only focusing on dance and did competitive dance for Sheila Parkins Academy of Dance and Music. For the following 4 years she continued doing more competitive and commercial dance for multiple schools. (Extravadanza, Ballet Montreal Performing Arts and Studiodanse Montreal-Paris) Growing up investing much of her time to dance it became a part of her identity. When it came the time to choose a career path, she already knew. She began her cegep schooling at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal, where she began to train solely in contemporary. Always hungry to learn, she spent her first summer after her first year at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre where she performed for Carlos De Santos. During her journey at the École de danse contemporaine de Montréal she had the chance to work with Mélanie Demers, Virginie Brunelle, Manon Oligny, Ismael Mouaraki, Catherine Gaudet and Peter Jasko to name a few.
Since graduating she has worked with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize and the Symphonic Orchestra of Montreal. As a natural born art lover with a sense of vision, Miranda hopes to explore multimedia projects where film and photography will elevate dance. Inspired by both urban dance styles and contemporary, she wishes to also explore and research unique, innovative and creative movement.
